Globant has announced the launch of its Advanced Video Search (AVS) solution.
Aiming to meet growing demand for video search capabilities, the AI-powered tool leverages Google’s Vertex AI and Gemini models to enable instant interrogation of large content libraries for specific clips, images or moments.
Searchable by either text or image-based query, AVS allows the precise identification of content from key frames in live sports broadcasts to location of exact moments for advertising, training and more, said the company. A semantic search interface reduces the need for manual intervention, enhancing efficiency.
Combining a custom-developed model with Google Cloud’s Gemini large language model (LLM) capabilities, Globant’s AVS enables customised content layers, meeting specific industry requirements for video/catalogue processing and monetisation.
Key use cases include automation of sports highlights, advertising and product placement, and training/education.
Albert Lai, global director for media and entertainment at Google Cloud, said, “Media and Entertainment companies face mounting challenges – rising consumer expectations, escalating content creation costs, and the need to adapt their business models to an ever-changing landscape. Globant’s AVS solution combines the power of Google Cloud’s enterprise AI platform and Gemini models with Globant’s deep digital implementation expertise. This isn’t simply about technology – it’s a clear demonstration of how AI and innovation can be harnessed to tackle industry-specific hurdles and deliver tangible business results for customers worldwide.”
