Sound design software company Krotos is launching a new commercial AI image-to-ambience feature for film and TV.
Users can upload a picture into Krotos Studio and the solution’s AI generates a custom text prompt based on the image. The prompt is then used to create tailored audio ambiences, which can be edited and integrated into projects.
The update to the AI Ambience Generator builds on its initial release in October, said the company.
Key features of the update include the ability to upload an image to generate a scene-specific audio prompt, streamlining the process from visuals to sound. Users can also refine the AI-generated prompt to customise the mood, complexity, and energy level of the soundscape.
Krotos said solution works within DAWs, NLEs, or as a standalone tool.
