Ateliere boosts IP flexibility with Agile Live

The Generative AI media software solutions provider said it aims to leverage the Agile Live platform as it shifts away from reliance on proprietary custom hardware towards IP-based systems

Ateliere Creative Technologies has announced the acquisition of Agile Live.

The Generative AI media software solutions provider said it aims to leverage the Agile Live platform as it shifts away from reliance on proprietary custom hardware towards IP-based systems. Using next-generation software architecture and cloud technology, Agile Live streamlines production workflows for broadcasters, sports producers and newsrooms, reducing the need for on-site equipment and lowering overall production costs, said the company.

Under the agreement, a team of Stockholm-based live production software engineers will join Ateliere.

Dan Goman, CEO and founder of Ateliere Creative Technologies said: “Agile Live strategically enhances a broadcaster’s capacity and streamlines the production of live content, substantially enriching the array of real-time entertainment accessible to consumers.

“With this acquisition, we are revolutionising the live production content industry to deliver enhanced real-time content directly to consumers. It underscores Ateliere’s unwavering commitment to innovation, a hallmark of our reputation in the industry.”

Agile Live is utilised by broadcasters such as Swedish public service broadcaster, Sveriges Television (SVT), which has used the platform in its coverage of major sporting events. Dennis Buhr, head of production development at SVT, said: “SVT is at the forefront of broadcast technology innovation. We are building the software-defined infrastructure that will support our business for many years, and the Agile Live system plays a key role in helping us deliver that vision. Our goal is to lower the technical and operational cost per produced hour to half or less of current levels, and we are excited about collaborating with Ateliere to further enhance the reach and capabilities of the system.”
