IBC organisers have announced the show will return to the RAI in Amsterdam for its traditional September dates in 2022.
The show will take place from 9th-12th September 2022.
It will be the first time the media technology industry has gathered together in the Netherlands since 2019 due to the pandemic.
“After spending far too long apart, we can’t wait to bring our industry back together again in Amsterdam in 2022 and we’re already planning for an exceptional live show in September at the RAI,” IBC CEO Michael Crimp tells TVBEurope. “In the meantime, IBC Digital is hosting a wealth of content, not just a full list of products but also a large number of thought leadership sessions including the IBC Accelerators”.
IBC Show 2022 has already opened its Accelerator programme for 2022, inviting entries for challenges and project submissions.
Despite the lack of a physical show for the last two years, the Accelerator programme has continued apace, with over 80 organisations participating during 2021, including the BBC, BT Sport, EBU, ITV, Meta, Olympic Broadcasting Services, AWS, RTÉ, Sky, SVT, and TV2. Projects addressed challenges in areas such as 5G, artificial intelligence, CG animation and VFX workflows and IP transition.
