21st Century Fox CEO James Murdoch will deliver the keynote address at the Royal Television Society’s Cambridge Convention later this year.
The biennial event takes place in Cambridge from 13th-15th September and this year’s theme is ‘A World of Opportunity’.
Other key speakers include Andy Harries, chief executive of Left Bank Pictures; The Grand Tour executive producer Andy Wilman; Michelle Guthrie, managing director of Australian Broadcasting Corporation and Sharon White, chief executive of Ofcom.
RTS said there are more names to be announced.
Theresa Wise, chief executive officer of the Royal Television Society, said: “James Murdoch’s knowledge of the international broadcasting industry is second-to-none having worked across Asia, Europe and the US. He also leads one of the leading creative, commercial and consumer powerhouses.
“His keynote will offer a unique insight from a company that has played a big part in shaping the media landscape of today and who are known to challenge convention. He will be joined by a stellar line-up of senior industry figures and future leaders to discuss the challenges of a shifting TV landscape.”
