New London office for Grup Mediapro

The office is the latest facility in Grup Mediapro's sports rights network across Europe, Africa, Asia and America

Grup Mediapro has announced it is opening a Sports Rights Agency office in London.

The new facility will be run under the direction of Oliver Seibert, head of the group’s Sports Rights and New Business Development Agency, and aims to offer an expanded range of services to competitions, clubs, organisations and operators.

Three new managers have been appointed with a wide range of experience across the sector. Sunil Kaikini joins the company following a career which has included periods at ITF, Premier League and Pitch International. He is joined by Tom Padmore, formerly of DAZN and Formula E, and Austin Houlihan, whose experience encompasses senior roles at Deloitte Sports Group and Pitch International. Kaikini and Houlihan formed the advisory firm, Libero 33 in 2022, offering services across sports industry media rights.

Collectively, the three have worked with organisations across the sector of major rights holders, agencies, strategic advisory firms and operators including UEFA, IMG, several leagues, Bridgepoint, the ATP, Liverpool FC and World Rugby.

The new office will work alongside the group’s existing offices around the world, aiming to help users further capitalise on their sports and audiovisual rights.

Gruo Mediapro chairman and CEO Tatxo Benet commented, “The London branch will join forces with our international offices on consulting projects and new business opportunities. The addition of Sunil Kaikini, Austin Houlihan and Tom Padmore, bringing over 20 years of combined experience, coupled with the group’s 30-year track record, will create a globally unique powerhouse of talent and know-how in sports rights.”
