Telstra Broadcast Services (TBS) has announced Karen Clark as its chief executive officer.
With more than 25 years of experience in the media, telecommunications and technology industries, Clark assumes the role having recently served as chief revenue officer at TBS. Spearheading initiatives that drove growth, she has significant experience in strategic alliances and mergers and acquisitions, and has played a pivotal role in forming strong links, most recently with BT Media & Broadcast, said the company.
Clark is involved with Rise and works in a similar capacity with the SMPTE and IBC councils. Aiming to build on the achievements of her predecessor, Andreas Eriksson, her remit includes advancing TBS’s global agenda and launching market-ready 5G media solutions.
Commenting on her appointment, Clark said, “It is an honour and privilege to lead our exceptional TBS team at such an exciting time in the industry, and I am deeply passionate about the continued growth and success of the company. The demand for high-performance media solutions continues to develop, and our focus remains on delivering innovative, fit-for-purpose managed services and solutions that meet our customers’ evolving needs.
“The past few years have been remarkable, and I’m thrilled to build on the strong foundation we’ve established. We’ve taken risks, driven growth, built trust, and created bespoke solutions with our partners. I look forward to building on our achievements and setting up TBS for future success,”
