Srividhya Srinivasan, co-founder and chief customer success & innovation Officer at Amagi, tells TVBEurope how staying ahead of the latest trends is essential for an industry in transformation

Talk us through an average day in your role.

As the chief customer success and innovation officer at Amagi my day is a dynamic mix of strategy, collaboration, and problem-solving. A typical morning starts with reviewing key customer insights and engagement metrics to ensure we’re delivering value. I spend a significant portion of my day working closely with our teams—whether it’s customer success, product, or engineering—to address challenges, identify opportunities for innovation, and refine our offerings. Given the rapidly evolving nature of the media and entertainment industry, I also dedicate time to staying ahead of trends, speaking with customers, and aligning our solutions to their future needs. At the core of everything I do is ensuring our customers thrive in an increasingly digital-first, cloud-driven world.

How did you get started in the media industry?

I entered the media industry when I co-founded Amagi. My background was originally in software engineering, and before Amagi I was deeply involved in building embedded systems—working on Bluetooth-based audio headsets, controllers, and protocol stacks. While my expertise was in technology, what excited me was the potential to apply cloud and software-driven innovation to improve the media industry. That led to the inception of Amagi, which is reimagining content distribution and monetisation through cloud technology. It was a leap into a new domain that has been incredibly rewarding.

What training did you have before entering the industry?

I am a software engineer by training. In my previous venture, I worked on embedded systems, which gave me a strong foundation in problem-solving and system-level thinking. One of the most valuable skills that engineering teaches you is how to learn and adapt quickly—whether it’s new technologies, industries, or business challenges. That adaptability was my true training. When we started Amagi, I had to immerse myself in the media and broadcasting space, understand the challenges content owners faced, and find innovative ways to address them using cloud-based solutions. It was a continuous learning process, and that remains true even today.

Why do you enjoy working in the industry?

The media and entertainment industry is transforming, and I am excited to be at the forefront of this change. The shift toward cloud-based content distribution, FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming TV), and data-driven decision-making has unlocked new possibilities for content owners, broadcasters, and streaming platforms. Collaborating with some of the most innovative minds in the industry and help our customers navigate this evolution is incredibly rewarding. Ultimately, it’s about enabling great storytelling to reach the right audiences in the most efficient and impactful way possible.

What piece of advice would you offer someone looking to explore a role similar to yours?

Customer success and innovation are about more than just delivering good service—they require a deep understanding of technology, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to anticipate industry shifts before they happen. I advise anyone looking to step into this role to develop a strong foundation in the industry’s business and technical aspects. Learn to think strategically while staying hands-on with customers. Empathy is key—understanding customer challenges at a fundamental level will help you drive meaningful innovation. And finally, always stay curious. The media landscape constantly evolves, and the ability to adapt and innovate sets great leaders apart.
