New appointments boost CANAL+ ESG

The appointments strengthen CANAL+’s ESG approach and underline its importance, said the company

CANAL+ has announced two new appointments to its ESG department.

Laure Gauthier takes on the head of sustainability role at the broadcaster. Joining the company’s financial services department in 2016 as consolidating and reporting officer, she has also served as financial controller for CANAL+ France and chief of staff to CEO, Maxime Saada. Reporting to Amandine Ferré, chief financial officer of CANAL+ and member of the management board, she will be responsible for deploying the group’s ESG strategy in accordance with its heightened obligations.

Marine Schenfele has been announced as sustainability director of CANAL+ Europe. Joining from Ernst & Young in 2008 as an internal auditor, her career at CANAL+ has included stints as financial controller and head of financial controlling in charge of TV shows and documentaries at CANAL+ France and head of consolidation and reporting. Since 2019, she has served as CSR director at the company. She will also be taking on the tole of executive director at CANAL+ Foundation, which is currently being created.

Both appointments are effective from November 18th.
