Sky Sports is launching its new Mix channel this week.
The channel, which will arrive on 24 August, will deliver sporting content to basic Sky TV subscribers, without the need for a Sky Sports subscription.
As the name suggests, Sky Sports Mix will offer a wide variety of coverage, with 16 different sports penned in across the first month.
Popular sporting competitions such as La Liga, the Rose Bowl and the Sky Bet Championship will appear on the channel, as well as Game Changers and sporting masterclasses, with documentaries and sports entertainment shows also on the way.
Barney Francis, Sky Sports managing director, said, “It’s an exciting moment for Sky Sports as we open up a window to millions more people for the first time.
“Sky Sports Mix will offer the chance for millions of homes to enjoy a selection of the first class sport we broadcast every day, and we hope that will mean even more people find a sport they love and are inspired to become even more passionately engaged.”
