BBC Worldwide has taken the decision to cancel its live Strictly Come Dancing show due to poor ticket sales.
The event, called Strictly Come Dancing: The Spectacular was due to take place at London’s ExCel from 22nd-25th June.
However, in a post on the event’s official website, organisers have said the show has not attracted the demand they expected and they have therefore “take the difficult decision to cancel it.”
BBC Worldwide launched the event last month in partnership with event company SME London.
The show promised fans the opportunity to get up close to their favourite professionals, the judging panel and the hosts as well as an exclusive 90-minute theatre show, dance lessons with the professionals, celebrity interviews, a catwalk fashion show, and a costume exhibition.
