TF1’s Téléshopping uses HbbTV platform by Wiztivi

Wiztivi has unveiled Téléshopping, the first T-Commerce application in Europe, for TF1.

Wiztivi has unveiled Téléshopping, the first T-Commerce application in Europe, for TF1. The show is now offering its viewers the ability to buy directly from their television through a HbbTV interface.

Using the HbbTV application, viewers are now able to put any items in their basket according to their own tastes (colour, size etc.) and to pay by using their remote control. The integrated payment solution, a European premiere on HbbTV application, makes the purchase from TV possible.

Jerome Dillard, managing director at Téléshopping, remarked: “For more than 20 years, Téléshopping has been offering the very best of innovations to its customers. The launch of its T-Commerce application, one of the first in Europe, is the demonstration of the modernity of our service and of our ability to adapt to our market’s evolutions.”

Téléshopping chose to work alongside Wiztivi to launch its HbbTV application because of its ability to develop and deploy innovations rapidly. From the start, the French company has been developing many HbbTV solutions, some of them developed around major sporting events and others for major Telco companies.
