Eleven Sports UK has announced it is dropping the rights to coverage of the Italian and Dutch football leagues.
In a statement, the company said it will continue broadcasting LaLiga matches until the end of the season with “the intention” to continue beyond that date.
The streamer will drop games from Serie A and Eredivise at the end of next month, when the rights will return to Premier Sports. Both companies will broadcast games during February.
Eleven Sports said the decision to drop the rights was a strategic one, taken to amicably end their partnership with IMG.
“The strategic direction we have chosen allows us to focus on LaLiga which not only drives real value for us in the UK and Ireland but is also a property which we continue to have a valued partnership with in five markets globally,” said the statement.
