Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has announced the debut of mobile streaming app Comedy Central Play in the UK.
Virgin TV customers who subscribe to Comedy Central channels will be the first in the UK to gain access to long form episodic content on the VoD mobile app.
Effective immediately, UK consumers will be able to download the Comedy Central Play app and access Comedy Central’s back-catalogue of short form content on the app, whilst Virgin TV customers will also be able to watch a wide selection of Comedy Central’s full-length episodes on-demand.
The news follows on from an announcement in May that the Nick Play app would be launching on Virgin TV.
