An Opensignal report has found that 37 per cent of users worldwide enjoy a “very good or excellent” mobile video experience, with Norway, Austria and the Czech Republic reporting the best results.
The State of Mobile Video Experience study surveyed 100 countries and saw the UK climb to 19th place in the European rankings, while Singapore became the highest-ranked non-European country.
Other findings included:
- Denmark, Hungary and the Netherlands also ranked as “excellent”
- The US lags behind on mobile video, remaining in the “fair” category
- Switzerland is “achingly close” to offering an “excellent” video experience
- Italy boasted one of the largest increases in Europe, advancing into the “very good” ranking from 25th to 20th position
