Sohonet has announced the appointment of Chuck Parker to executive chairman

Sohonet has announced the appointment of Chuck Parker (pictured) to executive chairman. Parker joins Sohonet from Unicorn Media, a provider of cloud video ad insertion technology, where he served as chief revenue officer. Previously, Parker spent 15 years at Technicolor where he fulfilled a variety of roles, and has fulfilled non-executive chairman duties on the Sohonet Board for the past year.

The Board of Governors of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) has invited Vitec Videocom’s Eric J. Johnston (pictured) to join the organisation as an Associate Member. Johnston has been servicing the cinematography community throughout his entire career, and is currently a strategic accounts manager, liaising with rental houses and digital cinema camera manufacturers across the US representing Anton/Bauer, Litepanels, OConnor and Sachtler.

Jonathan Hughes has joined ATG Danmon’s management team as head of systems integration. He joins from Gearhouse Broadcast. “Jonathan has an excellent understanding of tapeless technology, file-based workflow and digital content management,” said ATG Danmon managing director Christoffer Kay.

Audio Network has announced a series of promotions and appointments, as well as opening a new office in Manchester. Lina Tebbs (pictured) has been promoted to the role of head of TV, Europe, and Rebecca Thomas joins as key account manager.

Pancrazio Auteri has joined ContentWise, the personalisation, discovery and recommendations solution for digital TV content, as CTO, with the aim of driving forward the company’s technology roadmap, and overseeing its technology vision.

Qsan Technology, manufacturer of SAN and Unified Storage solutions, has hired a new UK and Ireland channel manager, Simon Atkinson. Atkinson has come on board after more than five years working with Qsan arrays in his previous position at CMS Distribution. “I am excited to be able to help Qsan’s channel grow across the UK and Ireland, and am confident that my experience and knowledge of the market and the technology will stand me and our customers in good stead,” said Atkinson.

Neil Maycock (pictured) has been announced as Quantel’s new vice president, product strategy. Maycock is responsible for all Quantel product management across news and sports, production everywhere and post production. He began his career with Pro-Bel as a software developer, and in the 25 years since has held senior roles in R&D, sales and marketing, most recently as chief architect at Snell.

RT Software today announced that Andy Esgrove has been named Realtime graphics designer. “This is a direct response to the increase in our customer footprint and strong demand for our products ­ both with broadcasters directly and through our many channel partners,” stated Justin Avery, RTSW graphics services manager.e

TransMedia Dynamics (TMD) has confirmed three new appointments for its UK headquarters in response to its expanding UK and European business operations. Nigel Thomas (pictured) has joined TMD’s European division as project manager. Ashley Fraser returns to TMD and will work closely with key European accounts in a newly created, client-facing role, and Mary Wyatt has joined in a newly created role as marketing manager.
