What’s your typical IBC routine: what are you there to see/learn, who are you there to meet?
IBC is a key opportunity to showcase our innovations, projects, solutions and products to the European media and broadcast market. Every year we look forward to meeting up with our customers here and exchanging news and insights from the market in what have always been highly productive and thought-provoking exchanges of ideas.
We are also looking forward to meeting customers and new prospects and IBC provides an ideal setting to catch up with strategic partners and our wider network to discuss potential joint sales as well as opportunities for research and development activities based on market feedback.
Fincons is in fact highly committed to developing and also scouting new technologies to provide the media and broadcast market with best-of-breed solutions to help them meet their emerging needs. IBC is thus also an opportunity for us to meet new suppliers of products and technologies.
What are you most looking forward to at IBC 2022?
We’re definitely looking forward to going back to in-person meetings with customers and partners after the long hiatus. We are also excited to be able to continue to consolidate and disseminate our leadership in OTT and in the hybrid and next-gen TV market especially, but this year we’ve got a special announcement too as we will be presenting our brand-new product suite for rights management, AllRights, to the European market. We have been developing this product for some time and are thrilled to finally unveil it for our European prospects and customers at IBC 2022.
Why is IBC important to you/your organisation(s) in a professional capacity, and how does the show compare to others on the calendar?
IBC is a key event both for the European market, where we cut our teeth with pioneering technologies, for example the HbbTV standard; but also on a worldwide scale. Like the NAB Show, which is of critical importance in helping us spread our message and leadership on the US, market, IBC provides an important launchpad for Europe and beyond.
