With an emphasis on hands-on experience, the Live IP Media Sandbox aims to address what the organisation calls a “significant skills gap” among its members by providing both theoretical and practical knowledge.

Housed in two flight racks, the Live IP Sandbox acts as both an educational tool and a pre-built proof-of-concept for members planning their first IP-based projects. The solution can be shipped to members’ premises, where EBU experts will provide training and guidance for about a week, said the organisation. Typically, the racks will then remain in place for around a month, allowing staff time to gain experience, said the EBU.
