Net Insight has announced its Nimbra 400 solution has been extended to include multi-channel HEVC 4:2:2 video encoding and decoding.
The upgrade enables low latency video to be sent via IP links, providing high quality video transport between remote locations and production facilities, said the company.
Supporting up to four HEVC 4:2:2 video services, the Nimbra 400 allows broadcasters to increase camera views, reducing bandwidth costs and delivering immersive experiences.
Integrating with Net Insight’s Nimbra Edge and Connect iT media transport platforms, the solution enables video delivery over unmanaged IP networks, with operations managed from a central location anywhere in the world, added Net Insight.
