Barcelona-based broadcaster Betevé is employing technology from TVU Networks as part of its coverage of the 37th America’s Cup.
The broadcaster is bringing viewers all the live race action as well as behind-the-scenes, covering the event from multiple locations across Barcelona, with the central hub based at the America’s Cup Village at Moll de la Fusta.
The live set can host two presenters and three guests and is the focal point for analysis, interviews, and updates on what’s happening in and around the city.
The broadcaster is using 10 TVU One transmitters to deliver live feeds from across Barcelona. In addition, Betevé’s live set at the America’s Cup Village is equipped with TVU RPS (Remote Production System), allowing the broadcaster’s studio team to manage and control the production remotely.
This partnership with TVU Networks is the continuation of a long-standing relationship between the company and Betevé. “We’ve worked with TVU for years, and we fully trust their technology to meet the unique demands of our live programming,” said Joan Bussé, technical director at Betevé. “Their solutions give us the flexibility, reliability, and quality we need to cover an event of this scale.”
