The BBC has announced it will broadcast from around the UK as the results of the General Election are announced on July 4th.
Studio B in Broadcasting House will be the programme’s main base, with the famous swingometer broadcasting from Cardiff.
Studio B includes LED screens from floor to ceiling, including the backing walls and across the mezzanine. There are four feature screens, including two towers that mimic one another.
The BBC also revealed plans to use graphics to build up a full picture of the new House of Commons, although it didn’t go into further detail.
The BBC will also have reporters based in Glasgow and Belfast, as well as at counts around the country.
After polls close the exit poll – and eventually the election result – will be projected onto the front of Old Broadcasting House.
Live video streams will also be available digitally, said the BBC.
CEO of BBC News, Deborah Turness, said: “We know the way people are consuming news is changing; we’ll have the most comprehensive ever offer across every platform, so we can be where people are.”
