Eurovision Sport and CAMB.AI are collaborating to test live AI-generated commentary at the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships.
Following a series of trials on the Eurovision Sport platform, CAMB.AI is utilising advanced AI-powered language translation to dub live commentary of the event, which is taking place in Peru, from French to Portuguese, in what the organisations said is a European first.
The partnership aligns with Eurovision Sport’s goal to democratise access to sport, and aims to provide fans with accurate, real-time commentary in their native language.

Recent trials at the European Aquatics Championships in June and the European Athletics in July have demonstrated the audiences’ huge appetite for commentary in their own languages and we are excited to be working again with CAMB.AI on the World Athletics U20 Championships this week.”
