KAIROS adds automation with Vis Mosart integration

The partnership aims to provide users with a greater range of live production workflow options

Panasonic Connect Europe has announced its KAIROS platform is now compatible with Vizrt’s Viz Mosart solution.

The partnership, implemented under the KAIROS Alliance Partner programme, aims to extend workflow options with studio automation capability. KAIROS delivers flexibility of input, output and operation for live video production, said Panasonic.

Enabling simultaneous processing of mixed input sources with different resolutions, such as HD and UHD, the IT/IP platform also fully supports baseband and IP signals including SDI, ST 2110 and NDI in any combination without external conversion, added the company.

Supporting PTP (Precision Time Protocol) synchronisation, KAIROS also incorporates new software that processes ST 2110 and NDI streams of any resolution. The solution allows as many video layers as GPU capacity permits, with unrestricted user-defined keys and scaling able to be set in each layer.

By automating repetitive and complex manual tasks, Viz Mosart empowers production teams to focus on higher value work rather than managing technical architecture, said Panasonic. Maximising the creative leverage of the existing technical infrastructure, the solution aims to help users manage operational costs and enhance output consistency.

Andre Meterian, director of professional video systems for Panasonic Connect Europe, commented, “The KAIROS open architecture easily enables the integration of third-party systems and applications. This addition of Vizrt’s Viz Mosart production assistant solution is yet another example of listening and responding to our customers’ requirements. It’s also further evidence of the benefits coming from the KAIROS Alliance Partner programme, where about 50 manufacturers and suppliers are collaborating across the production ecosystem to bring increased efficiency, flexibility and content quality to the industry – all based on the KAIROS live production platform.”
