NEP Group has announced its TFP is available as a licensed service.
Used in NEP facilities around the world, the TFC broadcast orchestration platform was designed by the company’s engineers to simplify IP in a broadcast environment. The all-in-one solution provides key functions to enhance workflows for engineering and production teams including broadcast control, software defined networking (SDN), real-time monitoring and global tech support.
Integrating multi-vendor hardware and software, TFC simplifies the ST 2110 management process, providing operators with a user-friendly, touchscreen interface to enable task automation and standardisation of workflows.
As a purpose-built SDN, TFC requires no extra configuration for broadcast environments. The platform offers real-time monitoring and alerts, providing engineering teams with instant updates on network health, uptime, latency and device status.

The platform has supported some of the industry’s premier events and broadcasters around the world, including the Super Bowl, the PGA TOUR, The Masters Tournament and a major sporting event in Paris last year.
Michael Raimondo, vice president of broadcast technology for the PGA TOUR, said, “TFC has completely changed the way engineering and production teams are able to manage many different layers of hardware and software on a major show site or in a production facility. The platform takes something very complex in our industry and simplifies it for our operators, allowing our producers and creators to focus on their number one goal of delivering amazing content to our viewers and fans.
“TFC has been a major part of NEP’s vision and innovation story for a long time. With this new wide-scale offering we’re confident the platform will continue to drive meaningful transformation by delivering the reliability and innovation the broadcast industry demands,” said Soames Treffry, president, NEP Australia, New Zealand and Japan.
By making TFC available as a service, NEP aims to support users without in-house network engineering expertise to simplify IP management and enable further progress for users migrating from traditional baseband environments to IP, software and cloud-based production. Additionally, the platform’s security layer constitutes a key component for critical projects. TFC as a service is available to be used in any broadcast facility across the industry, said the company.
“TFC can now be used by any broadcaster, rights holder, league, federation, or sports and entertainment producer. The platform is also technology agnostic, giving customers the power of choice when it comes to choosing multiple vendors to support a particular show, and the service is always backed by our 24/7 global engineering support,” added Treffry.
