Over Exposed expands OB truck fleet with new 4K unit

The acquisition will significantly enhance capabilities in delivering high-quality live event coverage, said the company

Over Exposed has announced the acquisition of a new 4K OB truck.

The latest addition to the company’s fleet of outside broadcast (OB) trucks can be equipped with up to 20 4K UHD/HDR CCU’s and 4 replay servers, enabling live events to be captured in multiple progressive formats.

Built around a Mercedes-Benz Axor 6.0m rigid chassis, the truck’s specification incorporates an array of technology intended to deliver ultra-high-definition coverage of events such as sports, concerts and live entertainment.

The unit is equipped with Sony HDC 4300/3500/5500 cameras for live events while the Sony FX9 provides for cinematic shoots and music events. Designed for fast set-up and deployment, the truck enables production teams to adapt to dynamic environments

  • 20 screen monitor stack, comprising 8 individual camera monitors, 10 multi-viewer screens, dedicated transmission and programme preview monitors
  • 20-camera facility

  • Calrec Omega full feature digital 56-fader audio mixer
  • Riedel Artist 128 talk-back
  • Comprehensive Video and audio monitoring for Dolby 5.1
  • Isolated sound room

Vision:

  • EVS Axon CCP 4801B Cerebrum broadcast control and monitoring system
  • Miranda NVision 8280 router and Densite 3 glue
  • Riedel Balero backbone routing

The 4K OB truck will be fully operational from mid-September.
