RTL Boulevard gets guests on air with help from QuickLink

Fremantle has multiple QuickLink servers installed in the gallery, providing professional outputs, such as HD-SDI and NDI into their live production workflow

QuickLink has announced Fremantle has deployed its StudioCall solution for the RTL Boulevard talk show.

The solution enables Fremantle, producers of talk show RTL Boulevard, to quickly set up remote guest connections for on-air contributors to the Dutch entertainment news programme.

With StudioCall, producers can get remote guests on air via a web browser using any device, said the company. No additional apps or software are required.

Using its web-based management interface, StudioManager, operators have full operational control over remote guests, including camera/microphone/speaker device selection, resolution, audio mode/gain, and more, said QuickLink. Fremantle has multiple QuickLink servers installed in the gallery, providing professional outputs, such as HD-SDI and NDI into their live production workflow.

“The QuickLink solution is used year-round for introducing remote callers, from all over the world,” said Max Blaauw, lead AI and technology at Fremantle. “There is no better alternative for remote guests than QuickLink StudioCall. We have successfully connected remote guests using a variety of connection methods, including Fibre, 4G/5G and SpaceX’s Starlink.”
