As it aims to appeal to younger viewers, Netflix has introduced a new feature that allows users of its mobile app to bookmark, save, replay and share their favourite scenes from TV series and movies.
The feature is already available on iOS and will launch on Android “in the coming weeks”, said the streamer.
Anyone watching a film or TV series on the Netflix app can tap Moments at the bottom of the screen, and the scene will be automatically saved to their My Netflix tab.
Subscribers can revisit Moments on their phone at any time, said Netflix, and if the viewer rewatches the episode or film, it will start playing from the bookmarked scene.
The feature also enables mobile users to share Moments on Instagram, Facebook, and other social platforms. Mobile users can share a Moment as they create it or, from their My Netflix tab, select a scene and tap to share it across all of their platforms.
