Virgin Media customers ‘could lose TNT Sports’

According to a report, Virgin Media wants a "significant price reduction" in a new three-year deal between the two companies, while TNT Sports wants the fee to remain the same

Virgin Media subscribers are reportedly at risk of losing access to TNT Sports due to a row over carriage fees.

According to The Telegraph, the two companies are in a “hot dispute” over the renewal terms of their agreement.

The report says Virgin Media wants a “significant price reduction” in a new three-year deal, while TNT Sports wants the fee to remain the same.

Should the two sides fail to reach an agreement, Virgin Media customers would lose access to TNT Sports when the current deal expires at the end of July. That would impact fans watching the start of the new Premier League, with TNT set to broadcast the match between Ipswich and Liverpool on 17th August.

The report states Eurosport, which is also owned by Warner Bros Discovery, is not impacted by the deal meaning viewers should be able to watch the Olympics next month.

Both sides have declined to comment on the report.
