The BBC is updating its TV logos as it aims to show viewers how modern it is.
According to Kerris Bright, the BBC’s chief customer officer, audiences say some of the BBC’s services look old fashioned and out of date.
“They want a modern BBC that is easier to use and navigate to find the content they love and enjoy. The more content people find that they love, the more they will get from the BBC,” said Bright in a blog post.
She said that over the coming months viewers will see changes to the broadcaster’s linear channels as well as its digital services, which will be updated to include recognisable colours, logos and graphics to help identify each service and improve navigation between them.
From tomorrow BBC One, Two and Four will launch updated designs, with simplified navigation menus, and promotional content. BBC iPlayer will also see a new modern look.
