Bedrock and M6+ launch AVoD free tier across new devices in France

The collaboration enables free universal distribution of M6+ across France

Bedrock has announced the launch of the M6+ platform to bring AVoD free tier across 15 new devices in France.

The streaming technology company said its collaboration with M6 enables the free universal distribution of M6+, giving users to access content previously exclusive to paid users of 6play max on an AVoD model.

Currently distributed to set-top box providers including Orange, Bouygues Telecom, and Free, M6+ now integrates with Smart TV brands and other OTT devices such as Samsung, LG, Hisense, Philips, Android TV, Apple TV, and Amazon Fire TV, said the company. The platform is also available on Apple iOS and Android devices, and its reach will soon include in-car systems.

M6+ provides users with access to over 10,000 hours of programming and additional features will include an upcoming generative AI-powered search engine. M6+ will live-stream the Euro 2024 final with a data-rich video player displaying live statistics updates and fan engagement components.

Henri de Fontaines, M6 executive board member in charge of strategy, streaming and distribution, said: “Our long-standing partnership with Bedrock has been a key factor in the success of launching our new platform, M6+. Bedrock deeply understood our streaming vision and transformed it into practical innovations with remarkable ingenuity. We’re delighted to bring these advancements to our users in France.”
