Cisco confirmed as official network equipment partner of LA28 Games

The collaboration builds on Cisco's Olympic experience at London, Tokyo, Rio and Paris

Cisco has announced a partnership with the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The global technology company will become the Official Network Equipment Partner for the Games, deploying its networking solutions across numerous venues throughout Los Angeles, aiming to provide reliable and secure connectivity for all involved with the competition.

Cisco has served as an official Olympic partner since 2012 and aims to build on its legacy work from London (2012), Rio de Janeiro (2016), Tokyo (2020) and this year’s forthcoming Paris Games.

Francine Katsoudas, chief people, policy and purpose officer at Cisco, said: “We are thrilled to bring Cisco’s networking technology, powered by AI to the LA28 Olympics and Paralympics. The Games have become a powerful symbol of representation for the world, embodying the principle that everyone deserves an equal opportunity to compete.

“We can’t wait to use our expertise to securely connect these globally beloved events, leave a lasting positive impact on Los Angeles, and amplify the ideals of organisations like Cisco who seek to foster an inclusive future for all.”
