Aiming to provide content owners with a single, centralised VoD management service, Comcast Technology Solutions (CTS) has debuted Comcast MediaExpress.
Simplifying asset management and distribution, Comcast MediaExpress enables mass distribution of premium VoD content to all leading OTT and pay TV platforms, said the company.

The latest addition to the CTS media asset management suite, the platform provides a single solution for ingesting video, metadata and supporting files, streamlining monetisation strategies across SVoD, AVoD, TVoD or FAST channels.
Key features of the platform include:
- Simplified Single Ingest: providing streamlined integration, enhancing VoD content workflows.
- Managed “White Glove” Service: enabling secure, high quality exchanges of content and metadata across operator platforms and distribution points. End-to-end visibility is provided via an intuitive UI.
- Advanced metadata management and VideoAI: transforming source metadata to site-specific end-point metadata. CTS VideoAI integration enables metadata augmentation, ad marker detection and insertion or automated quality control.
Bart Spriester, senior VP and general manager of streaming, broadcast and advertising at CTS said, “Now, more than ever, media and entertainment companies are looking for the most efficient ways to manage and distribute their short form and long form video across a highly fragmented landscape of digital destinations. It’s a daunting task even for the most technically sophisticated programmers, broadcasters, and film studios, but it’s what CTS was built for. Comcast MediaExpress provides efficiency, scale, and reliability for their VoD distribution efforts, so even more of their creative energy can stay focused on content creation and monetisation.”
