Witbe launches virtual network operation centre for video service providers

Witbe has made a virtual NOC for every service provider, accessible from any web browser at any time, said the company

Video testing and monitoring company Witbe has updated its Remote Eye Controller (REC) application to become a true virtual Network Operation Centre (NOC).

The update also includes features that expand the REC’s monitoring, recording, and customisation capabilities, boosting it into a central station for all live and on-demand video monitoring needs, said Witbe.

The NOC capabilities enable users to remotely control, monitor, and test any real device, from set-top boxes and web applications to mobile devices and smart TVs.

“Witbe’s Remote Eye Controller continues to evolve to meet the ever-changing, cutting-edge needs of video service providers. This new version is the largest software update we have ever launched,” said Mathieu Planche, CEO at Witbe.

“It transforms the REC from the most efficient device control centre on the market into a comprehensive video monitoring application, combining video streams running on real devices in the field with alerts from automated test scenarios running on the Witbox. Witbe has made a virtual NOC for every service provider, accessible from any web browser at any time, ensuring remote troubleshooting in the field is easier than ever.”
