BCnexxt is adding JPEG XS compression technology from IntoPIX to its live playout platform, Vipe.
The company has integrated intoPIX’s TicoXS software stack, enabling Vipe to receive and instantly decode HD streams with JPEG XS.
According to the partners, the introduction of JPEG XS enables the playout platform to maintain near-zero latency, whilst simultaneously reducing energy consumption.
