IBC2024 will witness the debut of Tata Comms Media, the new unified brand that combines all Tata Communications’ media and entertainment entities into one business unit, including The Switch, now Tata Comms Media’s production services solution.
With a mission to bring media experiences to everyone, everywhere, Tata Comms Media will showcase its expanded range of cloud-first IP media services and end-to-end media workflows. The company’s ground-breaking cloud solutions portfolio leverages the agility, scale and depth of Tata Communications’ global network and the Tata Comms Media team to deliver cloud-based production, contribution, channel origination, media orchestration and distribution worldwide.
The company will demonstrate on-stand (14.H06) how media companies and enterprises creating video content can mix and match the advanced production and delivery capabilities of its MIMiC cloud services platform – which include distributed and remote production, clipping & editing, playout, and transmission – and MediaHub, its leading-edge cloud media asset management & orchestration platform. Another element in Tata Comms Media’s IP services mix is its global video content delivery network (CDN), also being showcased at IBC2024.
Tata Comms Media will show visitors how it can combine its IP services either on a global or local scale to create workflows that meet their specific needs. Its customers range from global sports leagues, top-tier broadcasters, and international corporations to upcoming esports tournaments, niche sports, and everything in between.
The team on the booth at IBC2024 will take visitors through a pioneering case study that reveals how Tata Comms Media works with Formula E, the world’s premier electric vehicle racing series, to implement an innovative, truly global internet-only IP set-up for each of its events – helping the organisation towards its goal of being the most eco-friendly motorsport in the world.
“Tata Comms Media brings together a powerful array of world-class, flexible production services, along with truly global network reach and connectivity at hundreds of major sports and entertainment venues worldwide,” says Dhaval Ponda, Vice President and Global Head of Media & Entertainment at Tata Communications. “With an increasing number of media companies and enterprises looking to an IP future, we are working closely with customers in every region on innovative cloud-driven workflows and content strategies, empowering them to reach audiences across more devices and platforms than ever. IBC2024 offers us the perfect opportunity to spotlight the exciting work we are doing with organisations like Formula E to meet their business objectives – demonstrating why we are trusted by leading corporations and the owners and rightsholders of the most valuable media assets in the world to bring media experiences to everyone, everywhere.”
