Blackmagic Design’s URSA Cine 12K LF has been added to the Netflix Approved Camera List.

The digital film camera is the latest in the Blackmagic suite to be placed on the list, which is officially named “Cameras and Image Capture: Requirement and Best Practicies.”
To qualify, cameras must meet capture requirements including dynamic range, codec, resolution and workflow compatibility.
The streamer requires 90 per cent of programme final run times to be captured on approved systems.
URSA Cine is the first digital film camera with fast high capability storage built in along with high-speed networking for on-set media sync, said Blackmagic.
The solution features a large format RGBW 36 x 24 mm image sensor and WiFi with SRT streaming enabling remote client viewing. Users can select PL, LPL, EF and Hasselblad lens mounts.
