Telewizja Polsat has chosen Eyeheight playout master control switchers as part of a major expansion of its programme output. Three playouts have been installed at the Polsat headquarters in Warsaw. The contract was negotiated by local reseller TESS Poland.
Pawel Oleksinski, engineering manager at TESS said, “Eyeheight’s playout is being used to control presentation switching on Polsat Sport. The second system operates in the same role on Polsat Sport Extra and the third is being used for master control on Polsat 2 that is accessible via satellite to audiences in Poland and the USA. Being a modular system, playout was easy to configure to Polsat’s exact requirements and retains the option of easy future expansion.”
Recent installations of the playout master control system include the Broadcast Centre, MUTV and eeZee TV in Britain, Brescia Teletutto and Jetix Europe in Italy, and RTV Nord Holland. Playout’s modularity is centred on a base configuration unit, mix/wipe module, keyer, audio/voice-over module, internal cross-point, logo-store and dual-channel 3D DVE. These enable the mixer to be scaled from an automated A/B mixer up to a full-scale multi-channel master control system with manual over-ride.”
