Cheshire-based developer Movobi has launched Garble, a new advertising app which has been customised for TV programme creators.
The company says the app has been created to address the shift from traditional advertising and to maximise second screen use.
Garble can be customised for each show and gathers data and insight from user activity. This data can then be identified by programme, scene or character.
As well as product placement, the app can also highlight products, which are “not purposefully placed.”
“Garble will allow programme makers to develop multiple revenue streams and gain audience data and insight to a unique level. All of which will provide leverage for brand and retail partnerships – unlike any other app out there,” the company explained.
Movobi was originally set up to provide a similar app for movies, so that viewers could gain insight into locations, products and clothing used in the film.
