Sony has announced PRO TV as its first European customer for its HDC-3500 live production camera.
The Romanian broadcaster has invested in eight HDC-3500 camera chains for use in live entertainment and sports productions.
They have also chosen the PXW-Z280 and PXW-Z150 camcorders, alongside Sony’s dual channel UWP wireless microphone packages.
Unveiled at IBC 2018, Sony’s HDC-3500 supports HD, HDR and 4K, as well as IP capabilities.
PRO TV technical director Bogdan Andreescu said: “After evaluating the HDC-3500, it quickly became clear that the camera’s compelling blend of picture quality, reliability and operational flexibility fitted perfectly into our operational long-term plans.”
