SES has announced the development of a broadcast-grade managed Cloud service offering on Microsoft Azure.
The move accompanies the company’s expanded collaboration with Microsoft and the launch of its Satellite and OTT in Sync solution.
Leveraging Azure’s Cloud and AI capabilities, the new service will provide end-to-end, service-level agreement (SLA)-based media delivery services on Azure, allowing media companies to scale and address growing viewing demand.
SES Video CEO Ferdinand Kayser said: “Our collaboration with Microsoft Azure will enable us to take our portfolio of media services and distribution solutions to the next level.
“Our Cloud-enabled media service will be unique to the industry and will offer scalability and flexibility, along with increased broadcast quality of service, thanks to the latest AI and machine learning capabilities.”
