ABOX42 has unveiled Ethnic TV, designed to provide a complete solution for OTT TV providers around the globe.
Most providers of OTT television packages deliver their services on mobile devices like iPad and Android tablets, and management of the fragmented smart TV market with different standards and devices is complicated and costly for operators, ABOX42 asserts. The company aims to solve this challenge by delivering a custom configured smart STB which can be connected to any TV set and several SaaS services for deployment of OTT TV services for the TV set.
ABOX42 Ethnic TV offers a package solution delivering the building blocks of a high performance system which is easy to deploy, the company claims. ABOX42 Ethnic TV contains the ABOX42 M11 Smart STB, which can be deployed in any OTT environment and complies to all major standards for in home CE devices; ABOX42 OPX TV Client, which can be pre-installed on the ABOX42 Smart STB and will be launched automatically after each boot up of the STB, and allows showing a customised start up logo with the Ethnic TV operators brand; and ABOX42 OPX – Channel Management SaaS service, which allows the Ethnic TV operator to manage channels and channel packages, and provides a web based tool to configure the OPX SaaS service features.
Ethnic TV also contains ABOX42 OPX – Tariff Management SaaS Service, ABOX42 OPX – Customer Management SaaS, ABOX42 EPG Management – SaaS service, and
ABOX42 OPX – Software Lifecycle Management SaaS.
