AMC Networks has launched a virtual reality and 360 video platform on its Odisea pay-TV network in Spain.
Odisea VR is a free mobile app for Android and iOS devices which aims to deliver virtual reality documentaries.

The app launches with 40 debut titles and short films, and its catalogue will be updated monthly.
All the videos, which enable users to experience a number of realistic environments, will be related to Odisea’s exclusive programming.
Meanwhile, following the premiere of an in-house documentary about virtual reality, AMC will release four original VR films through the app, co-produced with The VRain.
AMC said: “After premiering Odisea 4K in 2017, the network presents a new content proposal for its viewers, expanding the documentary experience beyond TV. The app, which can be used through a smartphone and a VR headset, will deliver content curated by the company.”
