Facebook is reportedly considering launching its own TV streaming device this autumn.
According to a report in The Information, the social networking site is looking at a device that would combine a camera for video chat with streaming apps from the likes of Netflix, Disney, Amazon and other companies.
The device will apparently offer some of the same functionality as Portal, Facebookâs video-chat-centric smart display. It could also come with a dedicated remote control.
Facebook has discussed launching the device in the US in October.
The company has not commented on the report.
