Netgem.TV’s personalised internet TV service has launched in Ireland.
The app-controlled TV service launched in Britain last year, and brings together paid-for TV content and Freeview in one intuitive personalised recommendation service featuring the most popular live and on-demand TV services on mobile devices and TV screens.
The service is available to Irish customers via Amazon. It currently partners with Freeview Play in the UK, and features Amazon Prime Video, Rakuten, Youtube, Hayu as well as a growing number of new TV channels and On-Demand services added every month. Netgem said it expects to announce new content, features and distribution partners for Ireland “soon”.
Sylvain Thevenot, managing director of netgem.tv said: “We are excited about this expansion of our next generation TV service and look forward to bringing the best of free and paid-for content to the Irish market. Personalised, on-demand TV is the future of home viewing and we are proud to be at the vanguard of the streaming revolution. We’re confident that our combination of great content in a smart and reliable service will be a big hit with TV lovers in Ireland and look forward to growing our proposition here with more distribution partners and more brilliant video services.’’
